History Of In Touch Ministries – Charles Stanley

In Touch Ministries is an American Christian Evangelical non-profit ministry founded by Charles Stanley, the former head of the Southern Baptist Convention.

It all began in 1972, when a half-hour program called “The Chapel Hour” was launched
on Atlanta-area television stations. Today, “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley” can be heard around the world via radio and television broadcasts, podcasts, the handheld In Touch Ministries Messenger, In Touch Apps, on the church Website www.intouch.org .

Programs of In Touch Ministries are seen and heard around the world on more than 2,600 radio and television outlets in more than 50 languages. In addition to broadcasting, the ministry continues to produce books, studies, discipleship resources, and the award-winning In Touch magazine to more than 1.5 million households every month.

In Touch Ministries has the mission to lead people worldwide into a growing relationship with
Jesus Christ and to strengthen the local church.

The ministry is also committed to advancing the gospel from person to person and place to place as quickly, clearly, and irresistibly as possible.
