President Trump Responds To Franklin Graham’s Urgent Call To Pray For America

I’m on my way to Washington right now. We must pray for our country and our president

Today is the National Day of Prayer. All across this land, Christians will be seeking the Lord for guidance, wisdom and healing in our nation. At such a divisive time, we must cry out to God for help! “Our country is in trouble and the most important thing we can do is pray,”writes Franklin Graham on Facebook. “I hope you’ll take time to pray for our country, its leaders, and thank God for this land and the freedom He has given us.”

As you may know, Franklin’s father Rev. Billy Graham played an important role in making the National Day of Prayer a national observance recognized by Congress. Graham famously said it would be great to one day see political leaders kneeling in prayer together. Well, perhaps this is beggining to come to fruition.

“I’m on my way to Washington right now. We must pray for our country and our president. Our country needs prayer, we’re in trouble. The only hope for this country is God,” Franklin declares in a video posted to social media.

Encouragingly, President Trump himself even tweeted back to Franklin’s video message, simply stating: “Thank you Franklin Graham.”

Take some time to pray for our nation today, and share this to encourage others to do the same! Amen!
