Evang Chuks Chidube, the brain behind the very popular and fast selling gospel Album DIS KIND GOD and the leader of an organization called PRAISE CHANNEL, is an ordained minister of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is a singer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, marriage counsellor, motivational speaker, author etc. He is a native of Adazi-Enu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. Born in Abakaliki, the present Ebonyi State capital. He had his primary and part of his secondary education there. He later completed his secondary education in Adazi-Enu and proceeded to to Anambra State College of Arts Science and Technology Okoh. Later he became a motor spare parts dealer.
Evang Chuks became born again on 15th April 1984 in All Saints Anglican Church Abakaliki. Same year, he joined the Church Youth Band where his gift as a multi-instrumentalist and singer manifested. It should be noted that in 1974, while in primary school, he was almost the youngest and smallest member of the Urban Community Primary School Band Abakaliki, where he played the Flute very well.
In 1989, he released his first Gospel Album- TAKE JESUS TO THE WORLD, produced by the legend Evang Tony Onyejekwe. Other Albums followed until 2009 when he released the sixteenth Album – DIS KIND GOD. It became an instant hit and is still among the best selling Gospel Albums in different parts of the world. Also, he released IT IS MY TURN in USA, DIEU DE MIRACLE in Cameroun, SIYABONGA BABA, recorded and released in South Africa, Ghana Praise Explosion released in Ghana, Liberia Power Praise released in Liberia few months ago and a special Album he delivered in London in December 2012. Recently, Evang Chuks released a Special Bumper pack containing ten of his already released CDS and VCDS. On the whole, he has released over twenty Gospel Albums.
Evang Chuks’ style of music is African, laced with modern instrumentation and percussion. He sings in about thirty eight African languages and has won several awards including an honorary doctorate degree by Jordan Institute USA. He is the Authur of the following books: THE MISIC MINISTER, THE WORKING MARRIAGE, 72 KEYS TO UNLOCK YOUR PROSPERITY and others yet to be published.
In February 2000, he was ordained by his father in the Lord, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Senior pastor of House On The Rock Lagos. He has ministered thrice at THE EXPERIENCE Lagos, where he had the privilege of sharing the stage with great gospel Artistes like Don Moen, Israel Houghton, Kirk Franklyn, Donnie Maclokin, Fred Hammond, Ron Kenoly, Mary-Mary, the Winnans etc.
He is the MD of the recently opened PRAISE CHANNEL RECORDING STUDIOS LAGOS. few months ago, volume two of DIS KIND GOD was released, both in audio and video. Both are selling fast already. In few months time, he will mark his thirty years as a Gospel Artiste and preacher.
Evang Chuks Chidube’s family changed their surname from OFOJEBE to CHIDUBE in 2008 under divine instruction. He got married to elegant and pretty Ngozi in 1998 and they are blessed with three kicking boys, Ebuka, Prince and Rhema.
His hobbies include- singing, dancing and watching movies.
